Systematizing and standardization of the importation process at Novedades Alimenticias.

At Novedades Alimenticias, as a commercial assistant, I focused on enhancing the importation processes for culinary machinery. When I began, there was a lack of standardized procedures and cost analysis frameworks for imports, presenting a significant challenge. Despite this initial challenge, I took the initiative to learn governmental import regulations thoroughly, ensuring compliance and securing necessary permits. I also developed detailed spreadsheets to meticulously track costs and profits, which streamlined financial management and decision-making. By organizing paperwork effectively, I improved document accessibility, facilitating quicker retrieval for audits and inquiries. Additionally, I implemented a structured payment schedule to enhance client relations and financial predictability, contributing to overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction at Novedades Alimenticias.

In addition to managing the import processes and financial aspects, I also played a supporting role in coordinating the logistics of containers and merchandise from their arrival at the Guatemalan port to our office, and when necessary, to clients. This involved coordinating transportation, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining communication with logistics partners to streamline the supply chain. My experience in supply chain management during this role allowed me to develop skills in logistics coordination, transportation management, and maintaining efficient communication channels throughout the supply chain process.
