TRU KIS Hiking Club
In my volunteer experience with the hiking club, I took on the responsibility of promoting the club to attract new members. This involved managing our social media presence and email communications to engage with our community effectively. I also participated in promotional efforts during events like Club Day at TRU, where I interacted with potential members and showcased the benefits of joining our club. Additionally, I provided support to the club leader by assisting with various tasks and initiatives to ensure smooth operation and growth of the club.
In addition to promotional activities, I actively contributed to enhancing the hiking club’s community outreach and engagement. This included organizing and participating in outdoor activities and events aimed at creating a sense of belonging among club members. I also collaborated with the club leader to organize a Hiking Safety presentation so our members know how to stay safe outdoors. \s. Through my volunteer experience, I developed strong teamwork and organizational skills, as well as a deepened appreciation for outdoor recreation and community building within the hiking community.
